Useful things. Properly considered.
Trusty Hippo is a New Zealand-based online store built around interesting, useful and practical products for home, travel, pets, tools and everyday life. We look for clear purpose, good materials, thoughtful details and products that are easy to understand and genuinely useful.
We would rather offer a smaller range of better choices than an endless catalogue. Some are everyday essentials done properly; others are clever products that can be surprisingly difficult to find in a version you would actually want to own.
Our products come from carefully selected brands, wholesalers and fulfilment partners. The most sensible supply and delivery route can differ by product and destination, so some orders may ship directly from an overseas fulfilment partner, including China, rather than from New Zealand.
We aim to make buying straightforward. Product pages explain what you receive, the important materials and specifications we have verified, and the delivery information available for that item and destination.
We also aim to present products in our own Trusty Hippo voice, with clear information and original or properly authorised imagery rather than simply reproducing a supplier catalogue.
Have a question before or after you buy? Contact us and we will help you check the details.
